The rotation and revolution of the Earth have always been a topic of human exploration. As early as ancient Greece, some astronomers proposed the idea of the Earth orbiting the Sun, but it was not until the study of Copernicus and Kepler that this view gradually gained recognition.
Copernicus proposed the first heliocentric cosmological model, which believed that the Earth moved around the Sun, thus explaining the changes of day and night.
Through Galileo’s observations and Kepler’s laws, we have further understood the laws of planetary motion. However, we cannot help but ask, has the discovery of Earth’s motion changed our understanding of the universe, or has it only revealed greater unknowns?
